New Year's Eve-n Better When Shared!

Whether you're a couple on a romantic date, a solo diner in need of some great grub, or a group of friends looking for a stellar spot to eat and imbibe, Gather is the perfect place to stop by on your way to ring in the new year. 

Moving into our eighth year we are encouraging more sharing at our tables. To start the year off with this concept, we're offering a special complimentary glass of sparkling wine per small plate (limit one glass per guest). So, if you're a party of four, order four small plates and we'll send you four glasses of bubbly!

Mark your calendar for December 6 when we welcome David Teixeira of Berkeley’s Lusu Cellars for another special winemaker edition of Wine Wednesday. Join the conversation as David pours complimentary tastes from a lineup including his 2015 Stonecutter Zinfandel, 2016 Rose, and 2016 White Blend (our house white on-tap). David will be available at the bar from 5-7pm to chat about his family history of Portuguese winemaking, methodologies garnered at wineries up and down the California coast, and his mission to develop a deep connection between the land and the wine. All bottles are 25% off all night long.

MEET THE WINEMAKERS OF DANCING CROW VINEYARDS

Wednesday, November 15, 2017  5-7pm

Join us for another special Wine Wednesday as Tony and Stefan Cartlidge of Dancing Crow Vineyards share complimentary tastings of their Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The father and son duo will be pouring side-by-side comparisons of their 2015 and 2016 vintages of each varietal, and will be available to chat about their family’s experience, sustainable practices, certified organic techniques, and the effects of having an estate on Lake County’s unique volcanic terroir. Come by from 5-7pm to meet the winemakers, then enjoy 25% off all wines by the bottle all night long!

Come join us for a special wine Wednesday with Berkeley native Ari Heavner and his business partner Ben Larks of Sonoma’s Idle Cellars. These micro winery specialists in single vineyard varietals will be in our bar area to answer your questions and hear your views on what makes a wine great, why sustainable vineyard farming is important and how they came up with their very cool logo. Enjoy complimentary tastes of wines from their current portfolio from 5-7pm as well as 25% off all wines by the bottle all night long.

WINE COUNTRY OCTOBER FUNDRAISER

WINE WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2017, 5-9pm

As our hearts go out to our Wine Country neighbors, we invite you to join us in supporting them. For the next two weeks we  will suspend our regular Wine Wednesday 25% discounts and instead will we will donate 50% of all wine sales - by the bottle and by the glass - to North Bay Fire Relief, a fund  dedicated to distributing 100% of all proceeds to help the victims of this unprecedented tragedy. Half of Gather’s  wine list is from the  counties affected by the fires and as one vintner told the press: “The best thing (way to help) would be to feature local wines. If we can continue to sell wine, we can continue to pay our employees and get back to ‘normal,’ as quickly as possible.”
 
PLUS BETWEEN NOW AND OCTOBER 31, EVERY DAY AT LUNCH, DINNER AND BRUNCH WE WILL BE DONATING 5% OF ALL “WINE ON TAP” SALES. Please join us in raising a glass to hope, resilience and healing.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, August 23 when we will have the pleasure of hosting Stefan Cartlidge of Dancing Crow Vineyards, a family owned winery in Lake County. Cartlidge will be pouring complimentary tastes of various vintages and will be available to chat about his family’s experience, philosophy and methodology. Dancing Crow uses estate fruit and takes a sustainable approach to planting and maintaining their property; employ all organic techniques.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, 9/20 when we will have the pleasure of hosting winemaker Michael Muscardini of Muscardini Cellars, a Sonoma winery inspired by its Italian family roots. We will be pouring complimentary tastes of their new release  Rose of Tempranillo and Tesoro, an award winning blend in the super Tuscan tradition. Michael will be available  in the bar to chat about his experience, philosophy and methodology.

Join us Monday, September 25 - Sunday, October 1 for “Bees Knees Week” when we will give a portion of sales from our “Late Bloomer” cocktail ( $12) – inspired by the historic Bees Knees cocktail of the 1920s - featuring Barr Hill Gin, Dolin Blanc, Honey, Lemon, Bergamot Tincture, Egg White, and Bee Pollen. We’ll also be donating a portion of sales of Barr Hill’s honey-based vodka and their Tom Cat Gin aged in oak barrels and flavored with honey; so be sure to ask for Barr Hill by name when ordering any of our bar offerings.
